Nominate a Free Spirit

Each month our Free Spirits nomination committee will select one Free Spirit to honor. She will receive a Freeland gift bag of deliciousness and will get to work with Freeland Spirits to develop a cocktail. Proceeds of that cocktail will support the nonprofit of her choice for the month.

All Free Spirits will come together for a celebration. (Date TBD) They will pick one nonprofit to receive a generous donation. 

Do I need to nominate someone or apply for myself every month?
No, apply or nominate one person one time per year, and if they are not recognized, they will roll over to be considered in subsequent months.

What happens if I win (or if my nominee wins)?
YAY! We will notify each honoree before we publicize the award. We will call or email to congratulate honorees. We will ask honorees to collaborate with our team on choosing a seasonal cocktail that a portion of the proceeds will go in benefit of the organization for the duration of the business quarter. We will also provide digital assets for honorees to use on social media, etc. so honorees can share the news!

Is that all?
NO! A quarterly event will be held in honor of the honoree and their organization. At this event, we will celebrate the community of honorees, and feature the honoree as a guest speaker to share a few words about their organization. This will be a publicized event open to the public, with a portion of the proceeds of the event going to the organization. 

Why do nominees need to live in Oregon?
We want to identify and feature terrific Free Spirits who live in and are making a difference in our home state, Oregon, where our state motto is "She Flies With Her Own Wings."
