Angel Stech, Rose Haven

Meet Angel, our newest Free Spirit and the incredible Community Engagement Manager at Rose Haven, a day shelter and community center serving women, children, and gender-diverse people in Portland. At Rose Haven, Angel leads the Youth Outreach Board and Development Committee, hosts volunteer groups from both private and corporate partners, plans fundraising events, and represents the organization throughout the community by sharing the values and mission of Rose Haven with passion and care.

Angel’s background is rooted in service. She studied Theater and Speech with a minor in Women’s Studies at the University of South Carolina. Attending university is where her love of service began and she served on the Carolina LGBTQ+ Support and Advocacy Group. Angel moved to Portland in 2018 and has truly found her people in this beautiful city.

Outside of work, Angel continues her deep passion for service and can be found volunteering with the Oregon Democrats, serving as Precinct Committee Person for House District 33. She also serves as Secretary on the Friends of Wallace Park Board. Angel is a mother to two beautiful daughters and volunteers at their middle and high schools. She enjoys weightlifting, hiking, reading and spending time with family and friends. Angel is committed to uplifting others and shows wholeheartedly, so we are incredibly proud to honor her as this quarter’s Free Spirit.

Throughout the quarter Freeland Spirits is donating a portion of the sales from our Lychee Blossom cocktail kit to Rose Haven.
